Said to have lineage to an original helmet used in production of the film, this resin kit didn’t simply get a coat of gold paint and say “Bob’s your uncle” – no way! What was needed here was multiple layers of a faux antiquing process to give the gold surface an authentic look of aged metal, adding depth and texture to an otherwise “flat” looking color scheme.
